Father's Day Weekend Victories for Big Willow Tournament Teams!
The Big Willow 11AAA team qualified for the Gopher State Tournament by taking 1st Place in the Brainerd Lakes Classic June 17-19. Big Willow went 4-1-1, outscoring their opponents 44-29 to capture the trophy. Big contributions from Nick Leervig, Eli Kotlarz, Kaeden Erickson and Kambryn Hendrickson carried the team.
The Big Willow 10AA team took 1st Place at the Edina Invitational June 17-19. The team went undefeated and outscored their opponents 59-16. The coaches report it was a true team effort with each player contributing with either big bats, great pitching, solid catching or exciting fielding. The players joked that after winning a tournament on Mother's Day weekend, this victory was the least they could do for their dads.
