Read on to learn about our Back to Baseball Plan

Big Willow Families,

WE'RE BACK! The City of Minnetonka has approved our return to practice plan to address the safety concerns related to COVID-19, and while will be sending a separate communication on this in the upcoming days, in the meantime, please note the following items:

1) Baseball Return Times & Dates (all schedules tentatively run through 8/13):

Majors - M/W evenings starting Monday, June 29

Farms - T/TH evenings starting Tuesday, June 30

Juniors - M/W evenings starting Monday, July 6

Mites - T evenings starting Tuesday, July 7

At this time youth baseball leagues are only approved for small group practices -- should games be approved by the State in the upcoming weeks, we will assess and update with the schedule impact for Big Willow.  The days of the week will not change.

2) Registration Expansion (Farms and Majors)

In order for us to have the appropriate amount of players in Farms & Majors we will be opening up registration for about 20 slots in each.  (Please note that we will not be re-opening Mites and Juniors registrations).

***We are asking that additional registrants be kids in the Hopkins School District or live in the City of Minnetonka.  While our baseball community is open to all, we want to give opportunities to those in our local area first since we will have limited availability.***

Registration for Farms (8-10, kid pitch) will open, first come first served, at 10 am this Saturday, June 20.  Please share with friends and other BW families that missed out on registration.  Click THIS LINK to register this Saturday.

Registration for Majors (11-12, kid pitch) will open, first come first served, at 12 pm this Saturday, June 20. Click THIS LINK to register this Saturday.

3) Return to Practice Plan

We will be sending a lot more information on what to expect, how we will conduct practices, getting in and out of BW for safety, and other information.  In the interim, please note that masks will be required for all players and family members at all times when they are not on the actual field.  To see our return to practice plan in greater detail, please click THIS LINK

4) Equipment

ALL players will be required to have their own glove, helmet, protective mask, hand sanitizer, water bottle (labeled), and a bag for their gear (ideally their own bat as well, and for kids in Farms & Majors a cup / athletic supporter).  If you are in need of financial assistance or any of the above items, please contact Trevor Knight at president@bigwillowbaseball.com

Again, ready to get back to baseball and look out for further information in the coming days.

See you on the fields!!!
