Announcing the New Travel Baseball Program at Big Willow!

Big Willow now has two additional options to our House League if you want to play baseball at a more competitive level. We will also continue to have our traditional Tournament Teams for players looking for more baseball in the form of weekend tournaments, while continuing to play in the House League.  The Travel Program is an exiting new option at Big Willow this year and we are thrilled to offer this level of competitive baseball to our players. Teams from Big Willow have always had a reputation of being strong competitors as well as displaying good sportsmanship.

Tournament Teams
Big Willow will continue to form Tournament Teams for players 9-12 years of age.   The Tournament Teams will play in 3-4 weekend tournaments throughout the summer and may potentially qualify for state tournaments, with the exception of the 9 year old team.  Tryouts for the 10-12 year old tournament teams will be held on March 1 (there will also be a make-up tryout the evening of March 18) and tryouts for the 9 year old team will be held on a date yet to be determined at the end of May or early June.

Announcing the New Travel Baseball Program at Big Willow!

For the first time, Big Willow will have a Travel-Only Baseball Program available at the Majors level for players 11 and 12 years of age.  This team will represent Big Willow in the Minnesota Baseball League and players on this team will not play on a House Team.  The season will consist of 16 regular season games played Monday-Thursday and will be played at fields throughout the metro area.  The Travel Team will also play 5-6 weekend tournaments throughout the summer and may potentially qualify for State Tournaments as well.  Tryouts for the Travel Program will be held on March 1 along with the tryouts for our Tournament Program Teams (make-up tryout the evening of March 18).  To be eligible to tryout for the Travel Team, a player must be registered as a Majors division player.   If a player is not chosen for the Travel Program, the player may still be selected to play on one of our Tournament Teams.
