Sunday, May 6 at 12 pm is the new Opening Day

Big Willow Families,

In his 30-year history on the job, the groundskeeper at Big Willow says this is the latest he's even seen snow on the ground.  He also noted the fields still have several inches of frost.  What does this mean?

Even with perfect 60 degree+ weather for a week, the fields need at least 10-14 days from now to thaw and get in playing shape.  Therefore, we will be moving Opening Day and pictures to Sunday, May 6 at 12 pm - sponsored by A-List Entertainment.

As of now, this also means there will be no practices or games on our fields the week of 4/30.  More information will be available as soon as we have it.

In the meantime you can be doing three things:

1) Go here to read "A Parents Guide to Big Willow" to help you prepare for the season.

2) Starting next Friday, go here to sign up for concession shifts on DIBS.

3) Grab your glove and toss the ball with your kid for 10 minutes a day!  Try not to lose the ball in the snow.

Thank you!
