A chance to help keep our community clean

It's that time of year to clean up and show Big Willow pride!

Big Willow Baseball Association adopted a two-mile stretch of Hopkins Crossroad running alongside the fields.

About 12,000 vehicles each week drive by the two signs installed that announce Big Willow's status. This is a win/win for our organization: 1) We get to help give back to the community keeping the road clean, and 2) We get to advertise our awesome baseball program!

We care about how our community looks and its a pretty simple thing to help pick up a little trash.

This is a free program operated by Hennepin County. Click here for more info. https://gis.hennepin.us/Adopt-A-Highway/

We do this twice per year (once in spring and once in fall). The county is providing trash bags, safety vests and instructions. The county will also pick up the garbage bags we fill.

Sam Black is heading the project and if you are able to help, please email him at samablack@yahoo.com - or if you have questions please call him at 612-703-4569.

We're looking for volunteers to help give an hour or two this Sunday starting at 8 am and going through 2 pm.

Email Sam day of if you have any questions or if the weather seems bad.  Currently the forecast has nice cleaning weather, 68 and sunny!

We will meet at the Big Willow parking lot next to the playground to get our trash bags, safety vests and instructions. Clean-up crew members must be at least 10 years old.

Thanks for your continued support of Big Willow. Drive by with pride!
