Tournament Teams

Big Willow’s tournament teams provide an opportunity for players and families to enjoy additional baseball and participate in competitive weekend travelling tournaments in and out of the Twin Cities area.  Separate teams are formed through a try-out and evaluation selection process.

Players will build their skills, make friends and have fun playing baseball at a higher level of competition.  Tournament team participation is contingent upon continued participation and good standing with each players' Big Willow House team.  Tournament teams will also have scheduled practices and scrimmages, in addition to House team practices and games.   Big willow Tournament teams have earned reputations as strong competitors and good sportsmen. These teams are assembled to attempt to compete at the highest level.  Equal distribution of playing time is not guaranteed.

Tournament teams are self-funded. Each player selected will be required to pay their proportionate share of tournament registration fees and uniforms, in addition to their own traveling expenses. Scholarships are available.

Big Willow tournament teams compete in tournaments that are hosted by the Metro Baseball League, Gopher State, or Minnesota Sports Federation. These leagues have strict guidelines that determine eligibility to participate. Big Willow's baseball boundary for tournament teams is the Hopkins School District. Players must live within or attend school within the district.
